Partnership Agreements Signed Between ADSC, ADCC, and "Daman"
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Abu Dhabi Cycling Club have signed two partnership agreements with the National Health Insurance Company – Daman, a subsidiary of Pure Health Group and a leading health insurance provider in the region. The agreements aim to support and promote sports and community events across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
According to the agreements, the collaboration between the three parties will be extended, with Daman continuing its role as a supporting partner for the community events organised throughout the year by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “We take pride in our ongoing partnership with Daman, which reflects our shared commitment to fostering a culture of sports and healthy living across all segments of society. Their consistent and effective support plays a vital role in our community initiatives.”
Al Awani pointed out that the agreements will contribute to preventing lifestyle-related diseases, improving overall fitness, and enhancing quality of life—aligning with Abu Dhabi’s priorities in public health and social wellbeing. He also highlighted that the agreements would help strengthen community bonds and foster an inclusive environment for social engagement, which plays a key role in supporting mental health and social cohesion.
He concluded: “These agreements between the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, and Daman represent a pioneering model for activating the ‘Year of Community’ initiative through impactful events that directly benefit individuals and uphold the values at the heart of this important national activities.”
Khaled Ateeq Aldhaheri, CEO at the National Health Insurance Company - Daman, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, stating: “This collaboration reflects Daman’s firm commitment to launching sustainable community initiatives and highlights our pivotal role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and enhancing the overall wellbeing of individuals. It also demonstrates our dedication to corporate social responsibility by supporting events that blend health awareness with active community participation. These initiatives aim to promote a sports culture and encourage the community to lead an active and balanced lifestyle, in alignment with the UAE’s year of community.”
Aldhaheri added: “Daman’s vision is to build a healthier and more prosperous society through investment in innovative solutions that align with our wise government’s priorities in integrated healthcare and community support. Through this partnership, we look forward to achieving meaningful outcomes that positively impact people’s lives and further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s global position in promoting quality of life and public health.”
This partnership is part of the ongoing efforts by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Abu Dhabi Cycling Club to provide a comprehensive sports environment and encourage healthy lifestyles by organizing innovative and inclusive events that enhance community participation and support public health.
The agreements were signed at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in the presence of His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; His Excellency Khaled bin Shaiban Almehairi, Chairman of Daman; Khaled Ateeq Aldhaheri, CEO at Daman; and Al Nekhaira Al Khaili, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club.
